Many consumer computers in store offers a lot of free software with the purchase. Few software that came are usable, but many are just plain junk or trial version asking you to buy more. I say 80% of those pre-installed software can be uninstalled.
Since many people, including myself, I believe use computer for: documentation, games, organizing, surf the web, edit photos, and entertainment. This is why I wrote this blog to list top free software online that will cover all of these features.
1. OpenOffice.org - This software is a must have as an free alternative to the expensive Microsoft Office. It basically have all the feature that Microsoft Office offers. Although the user interface is not as nice as Office, but hey it is free. The office suite includes: Word Processing, Spreadsheet, Slide Presentation, Data Base, Simple Graphic editing
2. AVG Anti-Virus - This is one of the top free anti-virus software recommended by many.
3. GIMP - This an open source image editor as an alternative to Adobe Photoshop. Simple photo editor are no problem with this software. There are many toturial site available online using GIMP.
4. Firefox - Of course, how can any one forget the popular web browser. I have been using Firefox for many years and it has never dissapointed me.
5. WinAMP - One of the best mp3 player on the web. I don’t need to say more. Download it, use it, you’ll love it.
6. VLC Player- So you have videos/movies that you downloaded online but don’t want to install unknown video codec, this is the video player that will allow you to play nearly any types of video format (except for Real and BluRay — both are commercial licensed).
7. Google Calendar - This one is not a software, but a web application provided by Google. I think that organizing our busy daily is essential. This application will help you track you schedule online. Best of all, it lets you share your task with other people .
8. Pidgin - Online Instant Message software that supports many IMs. Such as MSN, Yahoo, AIM, ICQ, iTalk, etc.
9. PDFCreator - Create any printable document to pdf format.
10. WinRAR - Extract and Compress file. ![]()

One thing I don’t like about CubeCart is that I had to upload every product’s image one by one. I just want to smack CubeCart down to Hellll. Well, thanks to search engines and PHP APIs, I was able to write a simple mod to upload Multiple Images to CubeCart.
Here is the Download Link:
Hope this is helpful for people who are using CubeCart 3.0

I have been searching for a free shopping cart for years. Many website recommended OScommerce. As they say, “it’s the best one out there with large community support.” I have tried it and I find it hard to manage if you want to add or change something (specially the theme). I also have came across few others as well, but failed to test them because GoDaddy host had some features disable. My only choice left for me was CubeCart, simple and easy to integrate feature you desire for your business, that works with GoDaddy web hosting. CubeCart isn’t the best one out there, but being the only choice I have adopted some of it structure on how it works.

Well the easiest way to get your IP address is to just look at the TV:
Of course the IP address on the TV is your IP address that your ISP assigned to you.
For local IP address you should be able to get them by those steps:
*Only for people on router

You can add the IP address image above to your site by adding following code on your page:
<img src="http://www.helpanewbie.com/script/IPImage/ip.php" alt="Show IP Address" border="0" />

If you are someone who owns 2 or more computers, but is too annoyed to keep on switching keyboard and mouse between computers. We have this software can be the cheapest solution in the market. Synergy is one open source software that will allow you to share your keyboard and mouse over your network. Notice that this is a cheap solution only for people who does not have a home/office network set up. For those with a network already up, this is obviously one simple and free solution :).

Hi all, welcome to my new blog with a fresh start again :). I had many many failed attempts on wanting to create a blog website for reference that would hopefully help you get what your looking for. The number ONE reason for all these failed attempts is of course the lack of update. Since I have finished school and left with no job, I will have more time updating this site. The references/Howtos and others are my personal picks that I think are useful to share. Many of the howtos will be very simple as you can see by the name of this site. I hope and you to learn from this site.
Thank you
